Scott MacLaren is an accomplished and experienced litigation attorney with an excellent track record in defending and handling a diverse range of litigation matters, from small-exposure cases to highly complex matters requiring substantial oversight, analysis, management and coordination. A cum laude graduate of the University of Texas School of Law in 1986, he has since that time developed a strong background in a wide variety of areas, including commercial business and contract disputes, employment discrimination, personal injury, products liability, oil and gas liability, property damage, fraud and deceptive trade practices, and premises liability. Scott also counsels and provides opinions to clients on insurance coverage issues, risk exposure and risk prevention, and pre-litigation matters. He has substantial experience in coordinating with client representatives, in-house counsel, national counsel and in-house risk managers on a variety of legal matters. Finally, Scott also possesses extensive appellate experience in both Texas and Federal appellate courts.
